The demolition of Babri Masjid was a deadly blow on the secular fabric of our nation which has a base of inter religious co-operation and communal harmony. The barbaric act was an insult and black dot on the history of our nation. It has made our nation to bow its head with shame & insult in front of the whole world. The demolition of Babri Masjid on 6th December’ 1992 has weakened the secular aspect of our country by creating an atmosphere of misunderstanding, mutual mistrust and enmity among the people in the country where once mutual understanding, trust and harmony existed.
The then central government led by P.V. Narasimha Rao had promissed the people in clear words that the Masjid will be rebuilt at the same place. But it is very disheartening that the central government has not kept its words, which is a betrayal to the people. Justice Liberhan Commission which was appointed by the central government to probe the demolition incident has investigated the case all along 16 years and submitted its report to the central government in which it has pointed out 68 culprits responsible for the barbaric incident, but it is very much surprising that the government has not yet taken any stringent action against those culprits.
On 6th December every year, the fascist communal out fits celebrate the day as ‘Vijay Divas’ (the day of victory) and hold several programs & distribute sweets as if the demolition of Babri Masjid is their courageous act. While the Muslim & secular non-Muslim community is stopped by the administration & police department to celebrate the day as black day peacefully in the democratic way, and also stopped to protest and organize dharna in the name of law & order problem.
Popular Front of India is an organization which stands for achieving social justice and fight against injustice. Hence the organization condemn the shameful act of Babri Masjid demolition every year, display posters and run various awareness programs so that the communal out fits could not dare in future to demolish any other sacred place like the Babri masjid. On 5th Dec’ 2011 Popular Front state President Mohammed Arif Ahmed and other leaders had submitted memorandum to the Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh through the District Collector of Hyderabad district and demanded the central government:
(1) To stop Fascist communal out fits from celebrating ‘Vijay Divas’ on 6th December,
(2) To allow the Muslims and other secular community to observe black day on that day to express their sorrow through protest and rallies,
(3) To rebuild the Babri Masjid at the same site as per the promise given by the then central government and
(4)To take action on LIberhan Commission report and punish the 68 culprits responsible for Babri Masjid demolition mentioned in the report.
State President Mohammed Arif Ahmed pointed out that the organization has displayed posters in various districts of the state including the state capital Hyderabad demanding the central government not to forget the demolition of Babri Masjid & to rebuild the Babri Masjid. He also states that the organization is going to conduct public seminars in the entire state to make aware the public about the facts of Babri Masjid and also to strengthen their demand of doing justice with Babri Masjid.
